Art:
Conversations with Fellini
When I was a kid my uncle Gerard Rinaldi was the art department chair at Byram Hills High School in NY. He would take home the films he was showing in his art classes (actual 16mm films) and show them to us in the basement. They were all the films he was interested in. Bergman, Truffaut, Buñuel and others, and of course, Fellini. Fellini’s Amarcord and 8 1/2 were two of my favorites – Fellini depicted the circus that life seems to be. These are collaged images that start with a still from some Fellini film.
